Profile

Length, athleticism and a willingness to attack.

Sean Ryan is a long, athletic guard who came to the Eagles for 2025-26 after learning his basketball down south. He played his underage with Neptune in Cork and had a season with Limerick Celtics before signing on. What he brings shows the moment he is on the floor: defensive length, a three-point shot, and a habit of going hard at the rim.

He settled quickly into the rotation. Over 19 league games Ryan shot a tidy 62% inside the arc, with his best return a 16-point night in the play-off semi-final win over Drogheda Wolves. A fortnight earlier he had put up 15 points in the 107–74 win over Malahide, one of several games where the scoring came right across the roster.

On a team this deep, the value sits with the players who do a job without needing the ball, and Ryan was one of them all the way to the double.
