He landed with a medal already won. In January 2025 his Dundalk Ravens took the club's first U20 National Cup, beating Limerick Celtics 71–63 in overtime. Hackett scored 10. Earlier in that run, with the Ravens 25 down to Titans BC, he buried a corner three that started the comeback. He doesn't rattle.
He is a winning player who always makes the right play. A tenacious defender with a high work rate, he causes problems for the opposition, both with his defence and with the way he cuts hard off the ball. He joined a guard group chasing trophies, and came away with the Cup and league.
2025-26 with the Eagles
A new signing who joined the double-winning campaign. Hackett added depth at guard as the Eagles topped the Southern Conference and won both the National Cup and the Division One title to earn promotion to the Super League.
