Tommy Walsh
A Limerick basketball man back on the Eagles bench, part of the double-winning staff.
Tommy Walsh.
Tommy Walsh joined Niall McDermott's backroom team as an assistant coach for the 2025-26 season, the campaign that delivered the club's double and promotion to the Super League.
He is woven into the club's history. The club's record has Tommy Walsh captaining Burger King Limerick and hitting the buzzer-beating three that won Limerick's first National Cup in 2002, an 89-83 win over Star of the Sea.
He went on to coach at the top of the Irish game, serving as head coach of the Ireland Under-20 men's team at the 2023 European Championships. Now he is back on the Limerick bench, passing that experience on to the next group.
