Jason Killeen is a Limerick man. He returned to the club in 2011 after years playing abroad. In the 2011-12 league final he was named MVP with 25 points and 12 rebounds as the Eagles completed the league-and-Cup double, the city's first national league title.
Years later he came back again. In a 2024 play-off win away at Portlaoise, Killeen stepped to the line and made the free throws late in the game.
A long-serving senior Ireland international and captain, Killeen led the side to gold at the 2021 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries, Ireland's first senior men's trophy in 27 years, sealed with a 97-66 win over Malta at the National Basketball Arena. He retired from international duty straight after. He later took up the role of Basketball Development Officer for the Mid-West, based in Limerick.
