Nathan Moore came up through the Limerick Lions, the junior pathway that feeds the Eagles. In 2018 he hit the shot of his life: a three-pointer with 2.3 seconds left to beat Monaco 93-91 in the bronze-medal game at the FIBA Under-18 European Championship Division C in Kosovo. The win sealed a medal for Ireland's Under-18s.
The Lions still mark it as a Limerick player's European championship medal, a rare thing for the city. Moore went on to play 3x3 for Ireland at senior level, carrying the Limerick pathway onto the international stage.
