Profile

Cleotis Brown.

Cleotis Brown was an American guard at the heart of the Burger King Limerick side in the early 2000s, the era that put Limerick basketball on the national map. In 2001 he was named Basketball Ireland's Foreign Player of the Year, the league's recognition of the best import in the country that season.

The detail held in the club's records on Brown is thin, but the honour speaks for itself. It came in the same period that the club reached its first National Cup final, won on Tommy Walsh's buzzer-beater in January 2002. Brown was one of the players who made those years matter.
