Limerick beat Templeogue 84-68 at the MTU Arena in Cork to reach the Division One National Cup final.
Limerick Sport Eagles are into the National Cup final. A 84-68 win over Templeogue at the MTU Arena in Cork booked the Eagles' place in the showpiece, capping a run that started back in November.
Alex Carlisle led the way with 32 points, hitting four from three and carrying the scoring when Limerick needed baskets. Toby Christensen turned in another all-round game, 13 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for a triple-double that controlled both ends.
Ryan Leonard added 12 points with seven rebounds and three steals, while Daniel Shahab and Fryderyk Klimas chipped in ten apiece off the bench. The spread of scoring gave Templeogue too much to handle.
A semi-final is no place to be loose, and the Eagles were not. They now have a Cup final to look forward to, a first real shot at silverware this season.
