Limerick Sport Eagles beat Tolka Rovers 87-70 at home to reach the play-off semi-finals.

Limerick Sport Eagles got their play-off campaign off to a strong start, beating Tolka Rovers 87-70 at home in the quarter-final. The Eagles handled the pressure of the knockout format well, pulling clear in the second half and seeing it out comfortably.

Alex Carlisle ran the show with 22 points, four threes and seven assists, a controlled night at both ends. Darragh Horkan added 17 points, knocking down four from deep, and Ryan Leonard had 14 points, four assists and four steals.

Toby Christensen was everywhere on the glass, finishing with 13 points, 15 rebounds and six assists for a double-double that set the tone in the paint. The bench did its bit too, with Ajay Walsh, Fryderyk Klimas and Stephen King each chipping in seven points.

One game down, and the Eagles are through to the semi-finals. There is no easing off now, so it is straight back to work to be ready for whoever comes next.
