Limerick Sport Eagles signed off the regular season with a 131-46 win away to Killarney Cougars.

Limerick Sport Eagles ended the regular season in some style, winning 131-46 away to Killarney Cougars on Saturday. It was the biggest win of the league campaign, an 85-point margin, with the Eagles scoring freely from the opening tip and never letting up.

Darragh Horkan led the way with 32 points, going 8 from 9 inside the arc and adding six assists and six steals. Alex Carlisle was right behind him on 31 points with three threes, six assists and four steals. The pressure defence turned the game into a stampede, with the Eagles racking up steals all over the floor and running the ball back the other way.

There were big nights through the line-up. Toby Christensen had 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Ryan Leonard finished with 16 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, and Sean Ryan came off the bench for 14 points with a pair of threes. Ronan Cregan and Ajay Walsh both saw plenty of court time as the lead grew.

That wraps the league phase. The Eagles head into the play-offs in form and with the bench sharp, which is exactly where you want to be heading into the knockout games.
