Limerick Sport Eagles outscored Titans BC 99-89 at home behind a huge night from their top two.
Limerick Sport Eagles won a Saturday shootout at the UL Arena, beating Titans BC 99-89. The Galway side hung around at 89 points, but the Eagles had too much firepower up top and pulled clear by ten.
Ryan Leonard was unstoppable, pouring in 38 points with 10 rebounds, five assists and four threes across nearly 46 minutes on the floor. Alex Carlisle matched him stride for stride with 32 points and seven assists, going 12-of-15 from inside the arc.
Toby Christensen did the dirty work, hauling in 18 rebounds to go with 14 points and four assists, a monster shift on the glass. Daniel Shahab added seven points and three steals in support, and Ronan Cregan ran the offence cleanly with five assists off the bench.
Two players over 30, a player with 18 boards, and very nearly 100 on the scoreboard: a big home win to chase down the early-season points. The Eagles are right back in the mix.
