Eagles 88, Drogheda Wolves 64. That is the Division One final booked.

Saturday's semi-final at UL Arena was never really in doubt. The Eagles led early, pushed clear, and kept their foot down to the buzzer. Alex Carlisle was the standout again, with 38 points off a hot night from three.

It is the third time the Eagles have got the better of the Wolves this season. There was the league win back in November, then the Cup final in January, and now the semi at home in Limerick. Add in topping the Southern Conference and seeing off Tolka Rovers in the quarter-final, and this group has done its talking on the floor.

One game left. “We’ve earned the shot, nothing more,” said head coach Niall McDermott afterwards. “There’s still one to go.” The championship game is expected at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght, with the date to follow. Let’s go Eagles.
