Both Irish U17 Academy teams won both of their challenge games this weekend, with a Limerick Lion in each dressing room.

The numbers were clean. Two squads, two games each, four wins. The Irish U17 Green and White teams both saw off opposition from Northern Ireland and Wales at the Celtic Invitational Tournament.

Limerick had a foot in both camps. Colm Price featured for the Green Team, Odhran O'Farrell lined out for the White. They played in separate squads, but the story on both benches was the same: two wins from two.

An invitational like this is about minutes against players you don't see week to week, a different style to read, opponents who do not show up on any scouting clip. Both lads came through it on the right side of the result.

For a club that watches these two in the gym every week, seeing them on an international floor is a different thing altogether. They went away, they competed, and they won.

Back home, the club is proud of how Colm and Odhran carried themselves, for the Lions, for their families and for Ireland.
